We know the 1970s Sweden as a welfare state, paid parental leave and free abortion. But it was also a time when homosexuality was classified as a disease and experts tried to find the best treatment. However, the Swedish HBTQ movement begins to emerge and the first Pride parade takes place in 1977. Some people start using film to portray their own lives, and three movies were made that year: Bögjävlar, Eva & Maria and Kvinnan i ditt liv. Loving, intimate, political films of and about people who refuse to be invisible anymore. En armé av älskande is their story. The film gives an insight into a time that both scares and inspires you. An important story that is told with great warmth.
