The Wild Boys can be described as a queer pirate story filled with eroticism and gender bending. In the beginning of the 20th century five teenage boys from wealthy families commit a horrendous crime. As punishment, they are sent to sea on a ship together with the captain The Dutchman. After many adventures they arrive to a wild and supernatural island. And here everything changes forever. Bertrand Mandico’s feature debut is like a genre-crossing, enchanting, erotic and political delirium. Most of the film is in black and white but with explosions of color, this movie is as beautiful as it is marvelous and it offers a journey you will not forget.
