Prejudice & Pride – a queer film history is a dizzying journey through Swedish film history seen from a queer perspective. We thaw out films from the Film Archive’s freezer and marvel at the depictions of flats, gays and trans people for more than 100 years. From Mauritz Stiller’s Wings in 1916 via Bergman and Zetterling to the present day, LGBTQI people are finally getting their rightful place in Swedish film. With fresh interviews and music to accompany the films, we show something that has never been seen before.
