Juulia’s (Alma Pöysti) life falls apart when she realizes that her husband Matias (Eero Milonoff) is having an affair with another woman named Enni. Instead of separation, the couple chooses to try another solution: an open relationship. Juulia also gets a new partner and perhaps this arrangement seems to work quite well – until Enni becomes pregnant. A relationship drama in a new form. It also makes one wonder why Finnish cinema is so good right now?
Alma Pöysti is everywhere right now, in addition to making international success in Aki Kaurismäki’s Autumn Leaves, she now appears in Selma Vilhunen’s (Hobbyhorse Revolution, the opening film for UEFF 2017) newest film Four Little Adults.
