Sickla is about Emmanuel, a fifteen-year-old boy Oscar Byström met during a stay in Ghana. Byström together with a number of friends traveled to Ghana through the project Skellefteå Stöttar. In total, they collected over SEK 120,000 and carried out a series of improvements at the orphanage they visited. Johan Lindström has created the animations in the film.
