Alma is a fearless young woman coming of age that has never met her Bos- nian father. She’s raised in the Netherlands but when her father becomes ill she travels to her paternal homeland to see him. She tackles her first time in the new country with curiosity and once she’s there she meets her cousin Emir and his exciting friend Denis. To get to her father’s hospital the three of them embark on a unexpected journey through the Bosnian countryside. Feature debutant Ena Sendijarevic’s partly autobiographical film Take Me Somewhere Nice is a vivid and pastel colored treat depicting the clash between three young persons and their different perspectives, possibilities and dreams.
