When the regime-critical journalist Lena is arrested for live-streaming a protest against the Belarusian election in 2020, her husband is faced with an impossible situation. He is pressured to leave the country to save himself, but the thought of leaving his wife in prison without anyone fighting for her freedom is unbearable. Her home is constantly searched by the police, and he has no idea when Lena will be released. Her sentence is extended repeatedly. The story portrays life in a totalitarian state and highlights the importance of holding on to one’s political beliefs, even when everything seems hopeless.
