Carlos and Margarita were the most famous tango couple of their generation. Nowadays they live separately, on separate continents. Carlos has a good and affluent life in Spain, while Margarita turns the pennies in a kyffe in Argentina.

To lure Carlos to Argentina, she stages her own death, and just as she planned, Carlos gets on the plane. When Carlos lands, offers his condolences at the funeral and is thinking of returning home earlier than planned – he learns that she is still alive. Together with their mutual friend Pichuquito, they set out on a dizzying road trip through the country. A film with humor that constantly surprises, where the end of life no longer really feels like an end but like a beginning.
