In a southern Italian village, Rosa grows up with her grandmother and uncle. Her mother died when Rosa was small and she now only has vague memories left. But something rubs. Rosa begins to see pictures and dream about her mother and it does not match what she has been told about her childhood. At the same time, it comes out that her family is involved in the mafia and Rosa has to make a decision about what she is willing to risk for the truth.
Lina Siciliano makes an incredible acting debut in the role of Rosa, where director Francesco Costabile’s desire was to depict the mafia through the eyes of a rebellious woman. A film you don’t want to tear your eyes away from when it starts.
