FILM FROM THE NORTH: Arctic Indigenous Spotlight
A short film package put together by Tromsø Film Festival. Films from the North is a highly popular program of Tromsø Film Festival. Being a part of the largest and most known festivals in Norway, the program screens films produced in circumpolar areas. This is a special selection focusing on indigenous film made special for RIFF.
The pianist Edward von Past will be playing the piano during the film.

Work in progress: Amanda-Adele Björk
Amanda-Adele Björk is a director and screenwriter from Umeå. She has studied at the Stockholm University of Drama and was a co-producer for the short film Kung Fury, which in 2015 won a Guldbagge for Best Short Film. In 2020, she was named one of Europe’s most promising directors by EFP and the Swedish Film Institute. With her short films Ladda Ur and Ingiis Vakna, she has, among other things, won the award for best short film at the Uppsala Short Film Festival and was shortlisted for the golden ram. During UEFF, she presents her upcoming feature film project Hysterika and shows the pilot film Ingiis Vakna. Read more about her and the project on our website.
