For those working in the film industry or studying film, it is possible to apply for accreditation to Umeå Film Festival.
The festival hub is Kulturhuset Väven, located in the heart of Umeå. Films and events also take place at other venues across the city. With around 100 films and 130 screenings running from morning until night, the festival offers a packed schedule.
With accreditation, you can get one ticket to each screening and events throughout the festival, as well as access various offers and discounts.
The accreditation fee is 350 SEK until September 30. It is 450 SEK from October 1 to November 20. After November 20, the accreditation fee is 600 SEK.
It may take up to five business days to receive a response to your application (the first of august the office is still on vacation so then it can be a bit of a longer delay). If approved, you will also receive detailed information about how to use your accreditation during the festival.
Accreditation is not required to attend the festival’s Industry Days, organized by Film i Västerbotten. These are free of charge, but registration is required via Film i Västerbotten, with sign-up opening later this autumn.
