Sing along with Judy Garland and the rest of the audience to The Wizard of Oz at Umeå Film Festival’s traditional Sing Along screening.
In The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy is swept away by a tornado from colourless Kansas to the magical land of Oz, where she sets off to find the Wizard who can help her get home. Along the way, she meets new friends, each searching for something they feel is missing. Together, they take on the Wicked Witch of the West and finally reach the Emerald City, where the Wizard turns out to be rather different from what they expected.
With unforgettable songs like “Over the Rainbow”, the film has become a timeless classic, and its music is a big part of its magic. At a sing-along screening, the story becomes something we share: sing along, shout out the lines and get swept up in a collective tornado of imagination and music.
As tradition dictates, the evening kicks off with a group singing warm-up. The film is screened in English with English subtitles.
