For those studying film or working in the film industry, it is possible to apply for accreditation to the Umeå European Film Festival. Applications are open between October 1 and November 21, 2025.

The festival hub is Kulturhuset Väven, located in the heart of Umeå. Films and events also take place at 8 other venues across the city. With around 100 films and 130 screenings running from morning until night, the festival offers a packed schedule.

With accreditation, you can book free tickets to screenings and events throughout the festival, as well as access various offers and discounts.

The cost of accreditation between 1/10-21/11 is 350 SEK.
After the 21/11 the accreditation will cost 450 SEK

It may take up to five business days to receive a response to your application. If approved, you will also receive detailed information about how to use your accreditation during the festival.

Accreditation is not required to attend the festival’s Industry Days, organized by Film i Västerbotten. These are free of charge, but registration is required via Film i Västerbotten, with sign-up opening later this autumn.

Please note: Accreditation does not include access to the Eraserhead Xiu Xiu concert at Kajscenen on November 29. However, accredited guests may purchase a ticket at a reduced price.
