When the Earth is demolished to make room for a hyperspace bypass, Arthur Dent is miraculously rescued by his friend, the space hitchhiker Ford. Lost in space and still in his bathrobe, he teams up with a fellow earth survivor, a clinically depressed robot, and Zaphod Beeblebrox, the ridiculous president of the galaxy. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a hilarious sci-fi romp based upon the novels and radio play by Douglas Adams. The cast includes such names as Martin Freeman, Zooey Deschanel, Mos Def, and Alan Rickman as Marvin the robot.
