Raptures

It’s the 1930s, and a charismatic preacher captivates the villagers during revival meetings in the Torne Valley. Among his followers are the schoolteacher Rakel and her husband Teodor. After experiencing a divine revelation, Teodor takes over as the leader of the movement and begins steering it in a disturbing direction. What follows is a rapid descent into darkness that forces Rakel to choose sides once and for all.
