The registration for Umeå Film Festival 2023 is now open. We have three different categories for which we accept registration.

Registration for all three categories is open until Sunday, August 27. Answers to your application will be given at the end of September. Do you have questions? Email us at info@ueff.se.

Submit your film to the section ‘Northern Perspective
This is the section where the Umeå Film Festival presents films with connections to our northern areas. It is often a mix of short films, feature films and documentaries that hold this section. Five of the films submitted to the section will be nominated for our film grant Storspoven, with a grant on SEK 25,000.

Submit your film to the section ‘Documentary’
Priceless time documents from near and far are shown in our documentary section. We mix contemporary and highly interesting documentaries that you wouldn’t otherwise get to see.

Submit your film to the section ‘Panorama’
In the panorama section, we curate a program of interesting films from all over Europe. It can be anything from exciting debutants to established directors. A section that can surprise in many different ways.
