Opening Ceremony

It’s finally time to open the Umeå European Film Festival 2021!

When? November 24 from 6:30 p.m.
Where? The weaving scene.

Welcome to a wonderful opening night at Vävenscenen on Wednesday 24 November. The evening starts at 18:30 with mingling and a glass of bubbly in Fika! Then the salon opens where a short welcome speech is held before the film starts. This year’s opening films are the short film A Son Visits a Father (Lars Vega) and the feature film Petite Maman (Céline Sciamma).

The evening does not end there! After the film screening, the bar is open and there will be live music in the foyer with popband The Magnettes. The band has also a part in the festival as the  documentary with the same name as the band has it’s premiere on the festival’s Thursday.

The ticket price is SEK 150 (SEK 130 student / senior) and then includes film screening, a glass of bubbly and live filming!
