Love Larson visits UEFF 2018

Umeå European Film Festival highlights the two-time Oscar nominee make-up artist from Umeå, Love Larson, in a collaboration with Umeå Teaterförening and Umeå Kommun. Love Larsons’ visit at the festival includes an exclusive exhibition of his masks, a conversation about his work in theatre and film as well as a film screening with Q&A.

Love Larson (1978.) from Umeå is one of Swedens’ most successful and internationally requested make-up artists. He is the son of Karin Larson at Ögonblicksteatern and Anders Öhman, professor in Literature. He has a degree from the make-up program at Dramatiska Institutet. Together with his wife and colleague Eva von Bahr he is twice nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling. The nominated films were ’The Hundred Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared’ (2013) and ’A Man Called Ove’ (2017). The couple also won a Guldbagge in 2017 for The Giant. They have also worked in several theaters.
