Program Launch with Umeå Film Festival at Kajen!

On November 7, we will release the program for Umeå Film Festival 2024
Together with Kajen, we invite you to an evening of mingling and music by folk singer Poromaa, who will perform alongside guitarist Viktor Krutrök on the Kajen stage. The first 50 visitors will also have the chance to take home a goodie bag. Stop by, grab a program booklet, enjoy a drink from the bar, and listen to some great music.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to purchase our ‘Five Films’ punch card at a discounted price.

From 19:15 pm – Poromaa on stage

Poromaa sings about his family’s experiences as forest farmers and speakers of Meänkieli in Tornedalen. Pär Poromaa Isling was previously a songwriter and singer in the folk-pop band Väärt. His debut album *Maa vettää* (The Earth Pulls) was released in September 2024. On *Maa vettää*, his mother, Rita Poromaa, and his aunt, Mary Poromaa, contribute their voices. Viktor Krutrök joins as a musician. All songs were recorded and produced by Axel Andersson Utsi at Tajgan Studios, Akkavare.
