Sing along to Sound of Music!

Every year Umeå European Film Festival invites the audience to an outstanding evening when we sing along to the songs of a classic musical. This year we will be singing with Maria, the captain and all the von Trapp children in Sound of Music! To really get the mood and the singing going, the Sound of Music artist Lena Granath will join us and take the lead.

Lena Granath works as a musical artist and vocalist. Granath made about 440 performances of Sound of Music together with the cherished Swedish artists Carola and Tommy Körberg.

The film is based on a true story about Mary who leaves the monastery to become governor of Captain Trapp’s seven children. The captain is a strict man and life in the family is led by many rules that leave no room for laughter and music. But with the arrival of governor Maria things begin to change. Sound of music is a timeless classic with many beloved songs.

It will be a fantastic evening! The sing-along is held on thursday 23rd of November and tickets will be released 17th of October.
