We are sneak-releasing titles for Umeå Film Festival!
Autumn is approaching, and at the festival office, we’re working hard to finalize the upcoming festival program. However, we are already excited to reveal several titles from different program sections – make sure to find your favorite and book your tickets today! If you haven’t secured your ticket for this year’s Sing Along yet, we recommend doing so soon. Umeå loves singing along to classic musicals, and this year’s film, Cabaret, is no exception!
Among the other titles released so far is a French love story where the one-eyed Raphael embarks on a romance with Garance. In Bye Bye Tiberias, we are given an intimate glimpse into director Lina Soualem’s family history. Here, she turns the camera towards her mother, actress Hiam Abbas, and opens doors to their past.
Another exciting title is Attentat, which depicts Umeå in the 90s. We follow the identity-seeking 15-year-old Gustav, who one night, along with his friend Zeke, heads to the town’s slaughterhouse with bottles filled with gasoline. Attentat is shown in collaboration with Väven, Humlan, and Lampray AB, and you can choose to either watch the film or join the Attentat party. Besides the screening, the party features five hardcore music acts – an experience you don’t want to miss!
Make sure to book your tickets now and get ready for an unforgettable festival experience!
