Awards

Umeå Film Festival awards three prizes each year during the film festival. Storspoven of SEK 25,000 given to the best film in the section Perspective from the north. And Rödspoven of SEK 10,000 which is given to a current European documentary film that works with an important contemporary issue. In 2021, we also handed out the School Cinema Audience Award, where high school students in Umeå got to vote for their favorite of the nominated films for Storspoven.
