Atli and his daughter Anna’s lives are forever changed after a tragedy strikes. In the aftermath, both are lost in their daily lives, struggling to cope with what has happened. The path out of grief, and back to each other, happens to be in the trail of a comet. Ásthildur Kjartansdóttir’s drama is a quiet and emotional story that manages to convey a lot with minimal means. The majestic Icelandic landscapes and powerful lead performances create a cinematic experience well worth seeing.
