Sing along with Judy Garland and the rest of the audience to The Wizard of Oz at Umeå Film Festival’s traditional Sing Along.
In The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy is swept up by a tornado, carried from the colourless landscapes of Kansas to the magical land of Oz. There, she sets off to find the Wizard, who she hopes can help her find her way home. Along the way, she meets new friends, each searching for something they feel they are missing. Together, they face the Wicked Witch of the West and eventually reach the Emerald City, where the Wizard turns out to be quite different from what they expected.
With unforgettable songs such as “Over the Rainbow”, the film has become a timeless classic, and its music is a huge part of its magic. As a sing along, the story becomes something to share: sing along, shout out the lines and let yourself be swept away in a collective tornado of imagination and music.
As is tradition, the evening begins with a group sing-along warm-up. The film will be screened in English with English subtitles.
